This will come as a surprise to absolutely no one, but I am not much of a cook. My culinary skills are limited to the basics. In other words, I can cook just enough to keep myself alive, but there is no magic or style in anything coming out of my kitchen.

I may never be confused for a chef, but I can follow instructions and replicate something that someone else creates. This morning, for example, I decided to try a new way of preparing two basic food items, eggs and bell peppers. Normally, I would chop of the peppers and serve them mixed into scrambled eggs. But today, I decided to make this:
I cut the peppers into rings and them used them to shape the eggs as they cooked up over medium. The eggs came out a fun shape, the peppers came out grilled, and the whole thing was simple and delicious.
Who made his own breakfast and dared to try something new? This guy!
